Cannondale CAAD12 105 - Best Bike For Price?

Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to road biking and I'm not very familiar with determining which specs are good and which aren't. However, I've been riding a Trek 7.3fx for a few years now and I'm looking for an upgrade. I'm pretty set on getting the CAAD12 105 from Cannondale, I was wondering if you guys had any other recommendations. Do you think this bike is the best I could buy for the $1500 price range? I'd mainly be using this bike for training and long rides to build endurance, fitness, strength, and speed.

I've got a CAAD12 and am very happy with it (but I've also got a CAAD10 so may be a bit biassed).
I find it comfy enough to do 100 mile rides on it, but the geometry is quite racy so you should try one before you buy. There are a lot of other good bikes at that price point so I'd recommend talking to someone at your local bike store and getting some advice there as well.0 -
