Hi all,

if you could have ANY data field displayed on your bike computer, what would it be?

e.g.

1) Total glycogen reserve
2) Time of day that my partner actually expects me back home

That's just "time at end of ride" minus 2 hours.
    Faster than a tent.......

Cost per mile [cycle], cost per mile [car]; diff.

Required increase in cadence to hit target cadence by end of ride, and less useful the same for speed.

Wife* proximity detector so that I can time her passing me in the car to be on a heroic 40+mph descent blitz, rather than her usually passing me struggling up a climb at walking pace looking like I'm about to expire.

    * also same for preferred lady work colleague on initial blast away from the office.

Calories burnt represented as pints of beer.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

You can actually download this on new Garmins. I have given this a screen all of its own.

almost, the compass and clock with will give the angle and and orientation of exposure, the UV sensor the intensity.
You don't want to ride around in a loop with the sun just on one side do you? Even cooking like a rotisserie.

If you mean "expected life of our sun(shine this summer) maybe.

    Miles until next puncture.

Current wind speed and precise direction, and virtual speed assuming no wind.

^ Updated version has changed the calories from a pint of Carlsberg to a bottle of bud. So sorry but it only measures alchopops now ;)

That would be awesome. Presumably it could be done with power + altimeter + a little add-on widget to measure air speed.

    There's something partway there already, http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/03/powe ... eview.html

Paired with a proper powermeter you could probably do it.

Hair Speed Indicator. Bear with me on this. We cycle in the wind and with the wind. Our effort is vastly different, so ground speed isn't necessarily the whole story.

Hair instead of air, because reasons.
