I'm never sure why there is a huge expectation why a change of leader is going to fix anything. But from this it doesn't sound like there is much danger of Brian getting a second term

    Was a difficult role to fill after what had happened, I wouldn't have hired him to lead change but as a steady but ineffectual pair of hands whilst things settle down he is ok. Id like to see him there another term or part of till a leader emerges. Timing is everything.....

    While there may be better people available than Cookson, this seems like a an ASO ploy to get their man Lappartient in the hot seat so they can undermine the World Tour, grow their power over the teams while further diminishing rival race organisers, and raise their asking price to a buyer.
