Ultegra 6800 pedals - cleat angle

I've just bought some Ultegra 6800 pedals to replace some older 105 pedals on my road bike. The 105 pedals have been moved to my commuting bike. However, my heels seem to be catching on the crank arm, suggesting the cleat angle is different for the Ultegra and 105 pedals. Is this something anybody else has noticed?

It's not a problem as such as I can adjust the cleat angle. However this will give me problems swapping between the 2 bikes. Just wondered if I've missed anything obvious that would result in the cleat angle being different

Did you include the pedal washers when installing ?

Didn't include the pedal washers - but my original 105 pedals didn't have any washers either

Measure the spindles and pedal body length, are they the same dimensions ?

Yep - measured the spindle and body lengths before I installed (well - I lined them up side by side). It's like the Ultegra pedal is causing the cleat to sit at a different angle to the old 105 pedal. Not a huge amount - maybe 5 degrees different - but enough to be notivceable
