Righto, just got my new frame 2016 mega 275.
Had it all built up by LBS, come to setting rear shock up today, set the sag at roughly 30% (it's a debonair RC3) I know it has open, pedal and firm, when it put it on firm it doesn't lock out and still feel quite soft..
Is this normal? Not sure as my old fox CTD used to pretty much lock out? Just thought I'd ask!!

No, you never get complete lockout but I don't think that's a back thing. You want a little bit of movement to a sort some trail while climbing. TBH I never really used it off-road for climbing anyway. I found putting 5 - 6 bands in gave a decent enough platform for climbing in trail mode. Every bike is different though you may need to play around a bit with set up to fine it's happy place.Bird Aeris : Trek Remedy 9.9 29er : Trek Procaliber 9.8 SL0

It should be pretty firm in climb. The Mega really needs the pedal platform for climbing as well.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

hmm okay then, ill have a look at fitting a few more bands then and see how we go from there, its not too bad now ive sorted the pressures out.
Thanks for the help guys!!0 -
the pedal setting won't be firm on the monarch RC3 just slow - it should be noticable between open and pedal. Its not the same as the RT3 or the CTD/RP23 etc.0

It was definitely more firm on both my old Monarchs.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
