They gave me a free lock
and free bike register marking.
All because my bike was parked up in a known theft hotspot and they want to help reduce crime and increase cycle usage.
As initiatives go this one gets my vote. The whole thing only took five minutes and was really good to know they are doing this sort of things.
Nationwide too, so keep an eye out if they are at your local station.

Excellent, I know the Met do free bike marking. I once arranged a session outside my local pub with the local plod. Well worth doing.0

Good to hear they are being proactive.
Now you know that the area is a 'theft hotspot' if i were you i would consider changing where i park the bike (if possible).
Even if you have a lock it won't prevent a determined thief.0
