Hello all,

I'm sure it's been ask countless times but I haven't seen anything for the Zesty.

I would like to upgrade from a 2x10 to 1x11 on my Zesty 427 AM, I've contacted Lapierre and the freehub is good for a Shimano Cassette, so happy with that.

What else do I need/recommend?

Cassette 11-?
Rear Mech? (Currently - SHIMANO XT SHADOW PLUS RDM786GSL 10 SPEED)
Front Chainring size?
and what about the shifters? (Currently - SHIMANO SLX SLM670 2x10 SPEED)

Anything else?

Thanks for the help.

Or to add to this would it be better to go 1x10 with a 42t One up on my existing cassette?

There is groupset at CR for 1x11 from shimano xt, have a look.

I'd just go for an 11:42 using a Sunrace MX3 cassette, lighter than an expander plus XT and a lot cheaper.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Is that still 10 speed?

Yes, so you keep the mech and shifter saving yourself a fair wedge! (Keep the chain as well if it's good).

As rookie said - sunrace wide range cassette.
Have a couple of mates running them with no problem - easier to set up than farting around with an expander.

Mine gets converted this weekend (9->10 speed) using an MX3.
