When will straight steerer, decent 29er forks become "cheap"

Every now and again I look at my clunky, heavy Rockrider 29er and think "end of line forks for that are bound to be really cheap now", and every time I look there are few bargains to be had.
Would love something non-Suntour XCM/T on the front to make a meaningful improvement to an otherwise heavy and (dare I say it) poor buying choice.
Is it just a case of patience on the second hand market, or is there a pile of nice air sprung 29er /1 1/8 non-tapered steerer forks out there waiting for me to find them?

True. I keep dreaming that they'll be there for £50 or so. Given the quality of the rest of the bike and its frequency of use I'd be loath to spend more than £100 on a fork. Which I know is a complete cheapskate attitude and largely unreasonable!2015 Canyon Nerve AL 6.0 (son #1's)
