I wish.

Work meh. Trying to finish some diabolically complex process flow maps and associated development objects list so I can leave the country this week! Tricky when the business has yet to decide if they want fries with that order, metaphorically speaking .

In other news, an evening ride may be in order. Time to go terrorise the local shared pathways. Set LED's to blinking retina-burn and wear all black, so they've got no idea what just whooshed by... :D

Or, ring bell. 'Scuse me. Thanks.

Bollox. Stuck on the stand for another half an hour. And it's a Sleazyjet flight so they're not bringing round the complementary champagne to placate us. Might have to post a bit more :)

Tired and grumpy this morning, more so than usual. Pub and curry later should help fix things.
Ah, Seano's woken up. I was kipping in Wombledon last night. Didn't see him though.

First day back at work since the Thursday before last, it was very difficult getting out of bed this morning. I hit a tree on my mountain bike yesterday and my shoulder has swollen up nicely, it's going to get some great colours so I'm pretty excited. I've also lost my voice from heckling at Fort William this weekend so I'm pretending it's a cold so no one comes in my office again...

hot n meh today, be ok once I get out of the office.

So going to sort the Date with a bike, thinking single speed, with room for a 32 tyre. I know she likes Bianchi toothpaste green. Any suggestions on where to start looking for a frame beyond ebay? I'm not really into this building or classic bike malarkey

    Cheers

and why Pinno? so it looks nice and given it will only be used on roads and a hard pack bridle way no point in having gears for the flat, either that or its a shopper/basket job which isn't being housed in my bike room.

Ouch, how is the tree? Manage to avoid the sun burn at FW? I know you couldn't avoid the clouds of midges.
Pinno it was the crudding champs over the weekend, Dunno which type of crudding mind

Nope, tight gits. But a very nice Brazilian lady did tag along on the way into town as she was a bit lost :)

The tree is fine by the looks of things, I cut inside expecting to drift into the bottom of the corner and cut it close but I ended up bouncing backwards at full force off the fleshy bit on the front of my shoulder which came up in an instant red bruise. The feeling came back in my hand after a few seconds but it's sore lifting my arm past a certain point. Might go for a spin on the road bike this evening to loosen up if the thunder holds off. The unmarked trails at Innerleithen are significantly more dangerous than the trail center ones and therefore better...

Just watching the downhill world cup round there, Steve Peat's last year there so I did extra loud heckling. The weather was completely perfect unlike last year, bizarrely it's been great up here (south Scotland) for the last 2/3 weeks actually!

Here was Sunday morning's view of the Nevis range to make you all jealous...

So was I given the heat we've had, I seem to remember Glencoe having a few weeks of pretty late snowfall a week or two after Glenshee shut, must have been tonnes on the west.

I moved to Moffat 18 months ago hence getting a road bike to go with the mountain bikes, some good roads in these parts!
