Llandegla
Went to Llandegla today for the first time. Really good, and some great facilities. Had a great laugh on the skills area and pump track.
Was a little frustrating on the trails front though. They have a detailed website with a whole bunch of stuff, including a "news" section detailing any trail closures. Shame they didn't mention the helicopter fertilising that was happening today, meaning that the main climb was closed half way up so none of the routes were accessible. There was a small section of the blue that you could cut across to, and the green family loop was open. I got quite quick on the lower section of the blue after the fifth time round! Still had fun, but a little frustrating after a 2hr drive in traffic and a day off taken to go over, especially when the website shows route closures and this wasn't mentioned!
They could also do with adding to their site the fact that the car park entrance fee is £4.50 cash only. No where on the site does it mention the charge, and as its a place with a cafe, bike shop etc etc, not being able to use a card for this is fine, but worth mentioning. Fortunately for me today due to the trail closure they weren't charging, so I got away with that!
Anyway I did have a great time. From what I saw of the trails they are great. I think I just happened to pick a bad day. May head over for an evening next week if I can to see the rest of the trails!

Last visit we did the red and then blue, managed to get 8 riders around with no injuries 2 pinch flats and one suspension damper falling apart. Biggest issue we had was one of the lads bike was to small for him so he suffered on 3 mile climb. Gets very busy at weekends so weekdays better, don't mind parking charge its better than dalby,s. Not sure if shop and cafe close one day a week, forestry commission can be a law unto themselves and don't always tell people w hats going on. Get back there and enjoy.
Yeah I'll definitely go back for sure. I'm pretty sure the whole visitors centre is closed on Mondays. I don't mind the parking charge at all. Small price really. Just think that the fact that you need £4.50 cash when you get there is something they could better advertise on the website for first time visitors. They have the carpark opening and closing times on there.0
