is anyone else experiencing problems with their roam 50 wheels.
I've had to apply another layer of full width rim tape to be able to inflate them tubeless without a compressor but whats even worse is the punctures.
I went tubeless straight away with a 2.35 nobby nick and magic mary. both of these are in the bin with holes too big to fix.
both have holes about 5mm long which look like pinch punctures as they run along the radius of the tyre just on the inside of the outer knobs. I thought I must've just got unlucky so replaced them using the minion ss and high roller that came on it. next ride i get the same thing with a small nick just above the rim along with the usual inside the knob hole. I know i was among rocks when 2 of them happened but one of them was at walking pace.
Surely this isn't normal?
I rode my last bike tubeless for 5 years and apart from a burp from a tyre that had been on for over a year where all the sealant had dried i never had 1 puncture. I had schwalbe, conti, maxxis and bonti tyres all with no issues

Rims can't cause punctures unless there's sharp edges on them.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
