Heat molding shoes

Hi,

I bought a pair of Bont blitz shoes and they're heat moldable. The instructions say to remove any laces before putting them in the oven, but my shoes have a boa, not laces. I don't even know how you'd go about doing this but, does this mean I need to remove the boa system?

Thanks

Yes You need to disassemble boa system to remove the laces.

I would doubt if the boa system needed removing in the first place. If the instructions do not specify this, then it is probably not necessary. I have a pair of A2s and the buckles and straps were fine in the oven. The moulding temperature is not that high anyway.

Have done this myself on Bontrager Vapour+, the Boa will be fine left on.

What you do need is an oven thermometer though - do not rely on the oven temp controls.
