Does anyone have any info about these trails? There is a YouTube vid or two, and an old inactive Facebook group. Just wondering if anyone knew what the score was, where to start from etc. Don't want to fall foul of anyone by riding the wrong trails or blasting down a footpath by accident.

I live in Broseley. It would be a lovely evening cruise to the top, blast down, then back up and home type spot. I have seen a couple of trail bikes heading in and out from Ironbridge but not had the chance to chat with anyone yet.

Thanks for any help. I'm a solo rider, not gonna be taking over the place with 10 mates every night! :)

  • Know them a tiny bit - wife is from Ironbridge and I sometimes bring the bike with me when visiting. You've got one nice legal descent on a bridleway from the top down to the power station, good for a blast, other than that it's footpaths. Ridden across the top edge before and down but recollect encountering a lot of steps. Hopefully a local can fill you in as there must be a fair few trails tucked away. Strava will no doubt help here.

Would guess that access is always going to require some discretion, though - you'll be skittling OAPs left and right if you hit those woods on a sunny weekend.

Cheers. Yeah tell me about it. Those woods are packed on a sunny Saturday afternoon! I've walked them on evenings though, and when the weathers not so great and you don't see a sole. This would be the better riding time for sure.
