Hi guys, i am working on a project, trying to combine a pedal and kickstand.
I want to give temporary upright for the bike, and take better bike photo easily.
Do you think you ever need such a product?

I don't think it's a problem that needs fixing. Can't imagine you'd sell any, if that's the intention.

New invention. Pedals that detect a failed unclip and put out a kickstand in just those circumstances.0 -
Surely the issue is that both the pedal and the crank to which it's attached aren't fixed. You'd need more gubbins to lock their position and complexity sucks.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

VP already sell a flat pedal with kickstand. Doesn't sell well, but enough they keep producing it!
It works the same way as propping a bike with a pedal on the kerb, no need to lock the crank in position.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

I've only ever seen it on display in a store, but I dare say you are right.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Why fix a stand to a moving part?
Why not fix it to the frame? Maybe that's been tried? :roll:The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Because when the pedal is in use there is no unsightly stand, it's lighter than a stand alone stand as well.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Can you imagine the consequence of accidental deployment?
PS - The photo in the OP shows what looks like a brick. Genius! The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

The VP pedal has protection against accidental employment, it has an over centre spring and can't deploy anyway with a foot on the pedal - gleaned from looking at it in its packaging.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Amazing. Unless you're in a desert - theres always something to lean the bike against.0 -
why not make a bottle cage that one side can unclip and be telescopic and make a stand? no moving parts to worry about then. bottle cages are less likely to wear out and need replacing too.www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0

Just use the kerb. Or a tree, or fence post. Or lie the darn thing on the ground!WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels
