Am considering groupset for a bike I'm planning on building up.

Could anyone who has experience of both Dura-Ace 9000 and the hydraulic disc RS685 shifters be able to compare the difference in terms of shift quality (not braking performance of course!)

I love the feel of Dura Ace mechanical shifting and compared to Ultegra 6800 find the throw is shorter, more direct and positive. If this is the maintained when using the RS685 shifters I will stay with mechanical Dura Ace and hydraulic discs.

However, if the shifting is say on a par with Ultegra then I will go Di2.

Thanks,
John
