Mavik aksium , hell of a noise

Hi Chaps
Long ride , spoiled by a hell o a screeching noise while freewheeling from the rear wheel.
The lads think its the freewheel ? Whats the craic here , no cassette tool so will have to go down the LBS route , what do you recon the cost will be , should I consider new wheels, second year of summer riding , not sure how many miles , rims not to dished ?

should be in the workshop section. Usual Mavic problem with the worn out plastic bushing... remove freehub and clean/oil. If the problem persists, get a new freehub

What Ugo said. I'd buy a chain whip and a cassette lockring removal tool as it's a simple enough job to remove the cassette and to clean and relube the freehub. Look up Mavic death squeal on you tube. lots of videos there.

Much cheaper than going the LBS route.
