Canyon Endurance AL 6 Size Advice

Hi All,
I'm looking at getting one of these and before I speak with Canyon was hoping for some advice from you knowledgeable lot!
I currently ride a 2014 Specialized Tricross, size 52. The bike fits pretty well but i have always found the cockpit a little cramped so have the seat pretty far back on the rails and the bars swiveled up a bit to make the drops more comfortable. I'm 172cm tall which put me right on the edge of sizing on the Canyon website. Putting in my measurements and just going from 172 to 173 changes me from a XS to S.
Given I am quite short in the legs/long in the torso, do you think I'd be better off with a S? XS just seems a bit unlikely but I'm a newbie so any advise/experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Bike will mainly be for commuting daily so comfort is a biggie.
Cheers
