So the other day my flat mates wanted to watch me ride down this set of steps in front of our flat, something I usually do before going for a ride, and I've never had any issues.
However the other day I rode down as usual, but I noticed afterwards my fork felt a bit strange. I stopped to see what was up, it still held air, but by CTD switch (it's a 2013 fox float 34 CTD) wasn't working, it turns but with no affect and it feels like it's permanently in descend. (The switch used to work fine, and when it went, it was in trail, where I usually had it.) I tried a bit more fiddling, and attempted to adjust the rebound, again the dail still moves like it used to, but has no effect on the rebound damping.
I'm in the middle of exams at the moment, so I'm busy revising, and I'm genna take it down to my local bike shop next week, because I don't have the tools to get into the damper. Anyone got any ideas what might have happened?

If the CTD damper is blown then it can't be repaired. It's a sealed unit.
Most shops don't have a clue with suspension. Take it to a suspension specialist like TF Tuned.
