196km, red jersey winner Nizzolo must be desperate for his first giro win... Mezgec is out so even fewer teams aiming for a sprint finish so could be a breakaway...

By extension Swansea is 5 minutes away from somewhere magnificent, but still a dump... Middlesborough is close to very pretty coastline, yet is a bog hole... and Sunderland... I find the Pianura Padana uninspiring and I come from very close to it

Good. I think bikes being coloured pink or yellow are awful.

I think it's Ok for the final stage when you've basically won. Something for the bike sponsor to have at their HQ. Still looks bad though.

I'd prefer if it were all pink. Pink and celeste.... :(

He hasn't ridden that bike in the race yet. Or at least I haven't seen any photos of him on it...

Yep that's fair enough as a celebration. Is it something that's relatively modern? I can't remember seeing pictures of Hinault and Merkcx riding yellow bikes.

Mosquito land in summer, fog-fest in winter... I spent my university years in the flat part of Lombardia

Ive noticed that the trend to deep section wheels seems to be much less this year, even this stage which is mostly down hill and very fast.

Im trying to look at all the teams but in the break its only the tinkoff rider with a deep section, the others are middlish.

Will look into it after work.

    Curious development if so.

Just suggested to someone to get some deep ENVE because it looks more pro haha
