Wharncliffe Woods

Looking for a bit of advice, ridden the likes of Gisburn, Lee quarry, Llandegla a fair bit and looking at how wharncliffe compares as its a lot closer to me, possibly looking at the DH rather than the XC sections.

How would you compare it to some of the above trail centres? Also ridden the DH trails at Hamsterley. Am I likely to be out of my depth?

    Wharncliffe isn't a trail centre.
    Non of the DHs are signed.The ones across the road in Greno Woods are and are tamer than the ones in Wharny.The Wharny DHs are steeper than anything at most trail centres.If you go midweek when it's quiet there's a good chance you won't find them.99% of the XC stuff isn't signed and a lot of that is much more technical than any trail centre.
