Planning on building a new set of wheels for my full susser current rims are a bit too narrow for 2.4's. So far ive ordered a pair of Mavic EN423's for a smidge of £50 which is pretty good. Next bit is going to be hubs.
Rather than the defacto Hopes was wondering what other hubs would people recommend.

    Budget?

For that type of wheel Hopes are a darn good option.

Saint are nice but are cup and cone which is a bit 'marmite'.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Realistically around the 200 mark for them. Your right hopes are pretty hard to beat an saints are a bit hit an miss, just don't want to be blinkered by the shiney hubs as it were.

I'd go with Hope. There's a reason for their popularity.
Great quality, dead easy to service, reliable, good spares availability and they just work.
DT Swiss make some great hubs but I think at your budget Hope would be best.
Also worth considering a set of Hope complete wheels, they're cheaper than the total cost of the component parts. Excellent value.
