I just spoke to Canyon. He told me that Pro and Ritchey both do -17 degree stem that fit on a 1 1/4" steerer tube. Does anybody know where you can find one of these stems?

Might be a shock but have you tried Google or any of the big shops like Wiggle or Chain Reaction.

Thomson make a nice one0 -
Yes they do. Problem is that Canyon does a 1 1/4" steerer tube size not the 1 1/8"
Which is the far most common size. The link takes you to some really nice stems but in the 1 1/8" steerer size. Thanks anyway.0 -
Very hard to find. I recently bought a couple from Fouriers in Taiwan. Really good quality and made from a single block of alloy. It ended up costing me £30 per stem on top due to customs and Parcel Force charges though. Delivery to UK was within 48hrs but they sat in Customs for around 10 days.

LOL. Exactly what I was going to say ;-)0 -
Well I stand corrected and am happy to say I did not read the post properly. Assuming that most normal manufacturers use 1.125 or tapered headsets. I should have guessed Canyon would make life difficult. But thank you for taking the time to bring my error to my notice0

Can't shim down a 1 and 1/8th stem to fit a 1 and 1/4 steerer - just think about it?????0 -

But regular one are 1 1/8" so they're too small?0 -

Might be a shock but that's what happens when you post while rushing around.
Errrr - get a more readily available one then mill it out? Now that's what you call digging yourself deeper into a hole. ....Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am
