Commencal Ride Alpha Hub light?

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with the "Ride Alpha 32h, loose ball light version" that comes as standard on the Meta HT AM Essentials 2016?

I'm hoping to move to a thru axle frame further down the line and wondering if this wheel set is going to make the transition?

I'm guessing it won't as it's loose ball bearing but you never know what clever little accessories will do these days...
