Bike groupset maintenance

Hello ! I am very new to the road cycling family and would like some advice on what to use to degrease/ clean my chain / groupset, it's currently covered in thick black gunk.

Thanks ! Will get on it now, and I have no choice but to carry on cycling, just bought a garmin 520! So need to justify the price tag haha0

After years of messing around, scrubbing with a toothbrush, soaking etc etc, I just bought one of these:

Combined with a citrus degreaser, it works a treat. The citrus degreaser can also be used on your cassette, front rings and so on. The Park Tools citrus degreaser is fine but expensive. It comes in 474ml bottles but you can buy 10 times more for less money in various places e.g.
