Garmin Varia Rear light and Edge 810-help please!

Hi

I have updated the light and Edge unit for the latest software. The Edge has paired successfully with the light/radar but does not show the white dot (representing me) and the other dots ( cars) on the right hand column yet it shows the oscillation symbol at the very top right hand corner.

Is anyone able to advise please what I may need to do to enable this?

    Just discovered it only displays the column when necessary so forum enquiry finished.

    I'm a sucker for all things technological but I'm struggling to to see how the benefits outweigh the costs on this device. I've watched the promotional stuff done by Garmin and in effect it seems to let you know if there is a car or cars behind you and how near they are. But then what? Do you pull over each time? Do you cycle even more carefully than you were cycling before? I can see it might be useful if you are in the back end of nowhere and you're tired and you're weaving all over the road and it snaps you back to reality but those occasions are going to be few and far between as DC Rainmaker says in his review: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2015/10/garm ... eview.html

    Can you let us know how it's working out or will this be an EBay job soon? :)
