brake clearance on larger tyres?

Are there any brakes which have better than 'normal' centre clearance for tyres?

I've put 700-28 tyres on thg rear of my road bike and the clearance in height from the tyre to the caliper is a bit tight. Brakes are Centaur dual pivot.

Is there any point in me looking at a different caliper or are they all much of a muchness?
