Hi there I have a 24 bicycles pornking frame with a US bottom bracket. I need gears on the back though and bought a shimano deore xt crank hoping it will fit with a bb adaptor but I've since been told there aren't any adaptors for that crank. Any body know for sure ? Thanks

What BB shell is in the frame? It's unclear from your post whether the BB is U/S or a standard called US I've never heard of (and it's not in the bikeradar guide).

Looking at photo', it looks like an eccentric bottom bracket, they are normally English thread MTB fitment.

That would be to take probably either a BMX style BB or an EBB adaptor at a guess, is it threaded or plain?

You can get adaptors to fit inside the shell to take HT2, it's common on EBB single speed frames like the Mariachi's for example.

Not heard it called US before.....but am aware of it.

Ok thanks mate its just the same size as what a bmx bb would be. Don't suppose you have any links to hollow tech 2 adaptors?

Thank you. I'm wondering if there's more to it with the hollowtech crank though as chain reaction cycles said there's nothing that they know of that I can use to get it to fit

All I know is that the single speed EBB are an adaptor in a BMX shell and take any 68mm BB, I have three friends who ride Marriachi single speed bikes and are familiar with what they use.
