BB30 to Shimano Adaptor Issue

Hi guys, a month or so ago i posted on the forum asking about adapting from an FSA BB30 crankset to a Shimano 105 set. I eventually went for a KCNC adaptor and had it all fitted, looks spanking! Problem however, it seems that when yoy're laying down some power up some steepish inclines, I get a wobble coming through the crank. Now Im guessing this is related to the adaptor. It feels like the pedal, but had that checked out already. Has anyone come across this, and is it just a matter of using a different adaptor?

  • did you use the two orange (maybe red) shims that came with the bottom bracket? otherwise you could have a bit of wobble.

Yes most definitely. The feeling is like the crank hasnt seated together properly, its odd?

So this is a 105 chainset? You sure the NDS preload cap has taken all the play out so there's no lateral movement? Are the pinch bolts properly tightened??

Taken a while to come back on this, checked it all last night, still has that faint wobble. Odd!
