Rider on rider, Cosham 7th May 2016, police help needed.

Serious collision on B2177 at Southwick

Police are appealing for information after a serious road traffic collision at around 8.45am on Saturday, May 7.

It happened on the B2177 Southwick Road at Southwick northbound between James Callaghan Drive and Pitt Lane.

two pedal cyclists riding together in a group collided leaving one rider, a 61-year-old man, with serious head injuries. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

The northbound carriageway remained closed for approximately three hours to allow for the scene to be examined.

This is one of my local haunts, the side wind can be vicious as it's quite exposed : :shock: guessing they have a lot of rider feedback from the group, and looking for impartial feedback.
Thoughts with all involved :
Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.
Bike 1 (Broken) - Bike 2(Borked) - Bike 3(broken spokes) - Bike 4( Needs Work) - Bike 5 (in bits) - Bike 6* ...

    So did the guy who collided with him on the group run do a hit and run or something?

    Wouldn't have thought so - they probably just want an "independent" witness.
