Shimano/SRAM brake compatibility...
OK - putting to one side why I would want to do this - anyone know (and actually know, not "I'm sure it'll be fine" pref) whether you can use, say, 6800-era calipers with Force 22 shifters?
A few years ago it was all "pull ratios" etc etc, wondered if these things are more forgiving now?

Yes you can. I use 105 5810 brakes on my Reacto. The front is fine with instant bite as I like it, but the rear is not so good. I put the ineffectiveness of the rear down to the stupidly designed mounting of it under the BB. I've also installed Force 22 brakes with 105 5800 shifters for someone and the response is again excellent.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0
