I've seen some Shimano Dura Ace 9000 C24 clincher wheel set in Wiggle for £584.99 non tubeless and
Shimano WH-9000 Dura Ace C24 TL Tubeless compatible clincher 24 mm wheel set in Wheelies for £639.64
My question is is it worth the extra £54 for the tubeless ones or are the other ones just as good except they are not tubeless

If you want to use standard clincher tyres then they *should* be a lot easier to fit to the non-tubeless compatible wheels.
If your ever considering running tubeless then pay the extra but fitting clincher tyres can be a nightmare due to the tighter fit required for tubless systems. There's loads on the net about the benefits/problems with tubeless road setups.

    Only £579.99 for the tubeless.
There's no such thing as too old.

There are no downsides to tubeless with the right tyres of course except for the cost of the tyres but if you are looking at DA wheels then you can afford and not complain about £40 to £50 tyres. Top end wheels require top end tyres. no point in messing about.

This. You are ok with normal summer tyres but winter tyres (gators et al) on a tubeless rim is a nightmare. Especially if you puncture in winter when you've got cold rims and numb fingers also joining the party.

Isn`t that the whole point with tubeless, no changing tyres? Doesn`t the magic sealant work?

sealant does work, but these would be fiddly as they are narrow, and as other users have said the nature of tubeless rims is they require an excellent mechanical seal that means a bit of a pain when fitting. but once you've done it once or twice it should get easier.

20.8mm wide rims aren't great with 25 mm tyres either. these suit 23mm tyres, definitely. they are phenomenal wheels, in terms of climbing, and all round use. they are not aero in the slightest though!
