Hi, newbie here.

Currently got a specialised Allez, upgraded the wheels, group set to 105. Now looking to upgrade the frame.

Heard mixed reviews but mostly good if you buy from a company and not eBay. Thinking of going for a Chinese carbon upgrade.

Or the ribble sportive carbon.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Several forum members have sourced frames from Hongfu and/or Dengfu. Both of these suppliers seem to be rated quite highly but I have no direct experience.

Maybe search the "Your Road Bikes" sub-forum for eiher of these key words or perhaps Chinese frame

    for example

    and

Your Ribble frame is an open-mould frame made in a factory in China - plenty of info on buying Chinese carbon frames direct including a huge thread on RoadbikeReview. I've been buying frames (mainly custom ti) and components directly from China for 13 years without issue, you just need to do your homework. Some of the ebay sellers have good rep plus you get the benefit of Paypal protection.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
