All-in-one brake/gear lever mount thingies...

Sorry, not sure of the correct terminology for this, may be covered somewhere else but I can't find it in my search, maybe I'm looking for the wrong keywords!
I have a Giant Anthem 29er X1 2012 and it has SRAM X7 levers mounted directly onto the Avid Elixir 5 brakes. The brakes are now playing up (piston won't retract) and I've always preferred Shimano SLX brakes. So the question I am unable to find an answer for is how do I (or even can I) mount the gear change levers onto Shimano SLX brakes?
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful in hearing them, I'm going in circles a bit

You can get 'Mismatch Adaptors', but I have no idea of the price.
Otherwise your only option is to get a pair of SRAM mounts for the gear levers and mount them separately from your new brakes.“Life has been unfaithful
