Question on Wheels

Hello,
I am in the market to purchase a new wheel set and looking to spend >800.00USD. I am currently looking at the Boyd Altamont Lite and the Mavic Ksyrium Elite's. Does anyone have any opinions on either of these wheels or suggestions in that price range which they could recommend?

    It depends on the type of riding you are going to do with them. Is the AO hilly or flat? If so do you need shallow rims or deep rims? Or are you trying to go for an all around decent wheel? Once you have figured that out it's a little bit easier to make a decision.

    You should also take a look at custom built wheels. There are some good options for around $1k and sometimes less.
    I know wheelbuilder.com is having a special on HED C2 wheels for around $800 for a pair.

    On topic: I have ridden many miles on Mavic Ksyrium wheels and they are a very solid wheel.
