Hey fellow roadies,

I have decided to upgrade my wheels from my Mavic Kysrium Edition Spéciale, which are good wheels don't get me wrong but they are old (circa 2005), to some new tech wheels. I live in a very hilly/mountainous area with some flats off in the valleys. So I am looking for a wheel that is great for climbing and descending, but also holds its own on flats. I'm not that heavy of a rider, 68-70kg.

I have been looking at some factory wheels like the Reynolds Attack Clincher, but then custom wheels caught my attention. I am looking at currently 2 types:

HED C2 Clincher:
-Sapim CX-Ray bladed spokes
-White Industries T11 Hubs
-Enve CrMo QR
Weight for pair: 1472g
Price (shipped): $1260.81 (1089.41 euros)

Asterion Carbon Sport 38C Clincher:
-Sapim Race spokes
-AIVEE SR1 Hubs
-Asterion QR
Weight for pair: 1609g
Price: 849.90 euros w/o shipping

I have read that the HED C2s are a great wheel, haven't read much on the Asterion wheels, but they seem like a great wheel too.

What are your opinions?
