Has anyone got suggested routes for the Dordogne?
Looking for 50 - 80 mile routes with a bit of climbing. We are to be based at Saint Avit Loisirs near Le Bugle.

After a bit of faffing around I have found myself a good number of routes. The above website is OK if you know the area and understand the different classifications of the routes but for a new visitor (like me) isn't that useful.
However after messing around with Strava I realised searching for "Dordogne" was too vague but if you are very specific and search for activities under, say, "Le Bugue" you get all the activities (road rides was the set filter for me) recorded. I then narrowed it down to our specific campsite and I now have a handful of rides in the right form for turn by turn guidance on the Garmin 800.
Probably a bit obvious but I thought I'd share it.
The downside is you have to be a premium member to download GPX files but I am sure most people know someone with that. Just send them the link and they can email the files back.0 -
Hi Navrig2,
Have you links to any of your routes?
Just booked same campsite as yourself for mid September and just exploring route options...
Seems to be some nice options for climbs & flat...
Cheers0
