Hi

Just finished a ride and pressed save. The device froze for 15 mins saying 'uploading ride'. I switched the device off and then on and whilst it has saved the ride in a fashion on the Garmin itself, it would appear that the FIT file cannot upload. Bar the the very basic distance an time, no route etc can be shown on the Garmin.

I have updated the Edge, tried a a manual upload but no joy.

Is there anyone out there more savvy than me who can provide an answer please?

If so, many thanks and regards

KBMACK

    Have you uploaded it to strava?

    I'm having the same issue with my 810 after a ride today, all the data from the ride is available but no route, no segments etc.

    I've searched the garmin forums to see if there is a glitch but I can't see anything?

    Have you tried any .fit file repair tools?

    There are some listed here;

    Same happened to me on Saturday. Couldn't see the ride on the Garmin, nothing happened during the automatic upload to Connect, and Strava couldn't see anything. However, when looking inside the file structure, with the Garmin connected as Mass Storage, the FIT file was in fact there, and I was able to manually upload it to Strava.

    Many thanks for the tips and advice. I managed to transfer the FIT file onto Strava and has worked a treat. It can't seem to manually transfer to Garmin Connect but no matter.

    Regards

    Just in case you want to keep Connect complete (and you might as it is a handier way to bulk export ride files than Strava if you ever need to) you could try exporting the file from Strava and re-importing to Connect. Strava exports as GPX - I then just renamed the files as FIT (not sure if really necessary) and imported into Connect.
