Hi,i bought a new set of brake pads this week(swisstop green) with the intention of fitting them before yesterdays ride,a straight forward task on Ultegra 6700.
However, when I removed the front wheel I noticed that the front pads had worn unevenly ie:- The front of the pad was wider than the rear of the pad. Therefore when I inserted the new pads the rear of the pad made contactact with the rim of the wheel sooner than the front. The wheel,Kysrium sl,seems true so any ideas why the front pad has worn like this?

Sounds like the toe in/out needs adjusting, as they are new pads I would just slacken the brake cartridge and reseat/align everything and see how it goes.

Did you read the instructions that came with the brake pads as to how to align them?

Just get him to show you how you can alter the angle of the pads, it is very easy to do and very useful to know, especially if ever you get brake block squealing. one of the more annoying sounds a bike can make.
