Giant rapid

I am still continuing my search for a new hybrid bike, and will possibly be buying a giant rapid 1, it seems to come with glowing reviews
Does anyone on the forum own one, if so what are your thoughts on them

    I used to have a Rapid 4 a few years ago and really loved it. Did quite a few 100k rides on it, it was my first 'proper' bike and got me into cycling.

    After about 18 months I bought a Defy and the Rapid got moved over to wet weather duty but only lasted one winter before I sold it on and bought another Defy. By then I just preferred the riding position on the Defy and having more hand positions to move around on during longer rides.

    Part of me wishes I had kept it for the odd pootle around the Redways here in Milton Keynes but my wife would have had a fit :D

    Well I've been and had a good look , I just need a few more pounds ,so it looks like 3 weeks time before I order one, my only gripe is the s££t pedals
    Roll on 3 weeks :)

    Well I am picking the new bike up today, not the rapid 1, though I have gone for the giant fast road
