Seem cheap enough. I'd have a look at Superstar and Uberbike as well.

But you don't actually mention what brakes you have.

Organic pads also know as semi metallic are worth buying unless you need full metal pads (sintered) due to riding in really gritty conditions.

I've never got on with Kevlar pads so can't recommend them.

In Halfords I think its the brand clarks that they sell so buy the organic compatible pads for your brakes.

bottom bracket is it a screw thread or press fitting as you can buy these from all bike shops probably GXP sram type unless your using shimano cranks.

Organic are not semi-metallic, organic are organic and semi-metallic (organic with some sintered metal added) are semi-metallic.

Got on well with Kevlar myself.

I use sintered pads on my hard tail (zee) and I have the metalic shimano pads with the saint's on my suppressor.

I use sintered. They work consistently in all conditions and last well.
Kevlar are OK for downhill or 4X racing but even steady xc riding can kill them in a day.

But you're a riding hero who doesn't need to brake.
I've killed one set in a single run down from Val d'isare to Tignes! Roughly 20 minutes.

I'm considering trying out some other types of pads, but my shimano rotor says "resin only" on it. Does this mean I can't use other types? Doesn't really make sense to me why it wouldn't work with others...

it will eat into the pads and the rotor wear will be greater.

Can you explain why this is? Is the rotor made of a different material than other rotors?

No, the pads will wear into it......the discs for sintered are harder.

its to do with the way the metal in the rotor is made.

where can you buy fully organic pads from then?

Got both uberbike and superstar pads here and they are semi metallic, superstar label it as organic.

It wasn't a recommendation, I'd have the superstar pads, I was just pointing out that organic and semi-metallic are not the same.
