Bike Upgrade

Hi, got into cycling around about this time last year, mainly as something to do. So i opted for a Trek 1.2 through my cycle to scheme, which has done its job up until now.
But since July ive racked up around 6k of miles. And im looking for a slighly better bike, one that i can used in the better months, while the Trek bike i can used in winter.
Ideally I want something in and around the £1000 mark so i can go again through the cycle to work scheme.
Ive been looking at the ribble evo pro carbon, only upgrading the group select to Shimano Ultra 6800 11 Speed groupset

Is this good value or is there anything else i could get better for my money?

For similar money to the Ribble you could opt for the Planet X Pro Carbon SRAM Force kitted bike

The frames are likely to have come from the same factory if not the same mould. Standard wheelset is either Fulcrum Racing Sport or Campagnolo Khamsin which might be a bit of an improvement over the Rodi Airline clinchers offered on the Ribble. I note that you need to pay £60 extra to specify the Khamsins on the Ribble.0 -

Often with the cycle to work schemes you can top up with cash above the £1k limit. Might be worth bearing in mind if you have the luxury of some cash burning a hole in your pocket.0
