£750 to spend on a hardtail

Friend has asked which bike she should buy, she is a good experienced rider, not particularly looking for a ladies specific bike, suggesting a hardtail up to a max of £750.

Any comments or suggestions should be much appreciated.

I'd avoid Canyon if you actually want the bike delivered this year!
The Whyte is probably the best choice there, the Specialized is the worst.
