Hello guys,
Been riding my hard tail Fuji Nevada 2014 over some trails in the north wales like llandegla and delemere forest. I am really enjoying it so time for an upgrade to a full sus so I have both to play with.
Found the kona precept 130 2016 model which is usually 1400 but I've found it for 1k basically and the reason is scratching on the body. My size too!
Reckon I am best going for this and get it for cheap?
Or is this bike just a rubbish one anyway and I can get better for my money?
Cheers lads and girls!

Just bought it anyway, I can send it back if I don't agree with the scratches or anything. Happy I've made the leap

I'd say at that price it's about right, at £1400 (ish) it was way overpriced (compare to the £1500 Boardman with Pikes and a dropper).Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

For £1400 that's shocking value.
Even at a grand I'd expect much better than 9 speed and Altus shifters. I'd also expect better than Acera brakes. The fork is not the best available on a £1000 bike either.
There are much better full suspension bikes available for a grand from Boardman, Calibre and Giant.
You won't get advice without posting a link to the model because people don't remember all the specs of every bike.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Oh well I'll give it a test when it arrives and I'll see how it goes

Just checked up on the bikes above and they all look like they have the same shock set up as the kona. I did get this for a grand by the way not the 1400 price0

They have much better gearing and brakes though.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
