Adding lockout cartridge to Suntour suspension

Hey,

I wanted to know if I could get my hands on a compatible lockout cartridge and if that's the only thing I'll need to do make my Suntour suspension into one with lockout.

I have a BTwin Riverside 3, and at my local Decathlon (I'm from India), I see a Riverside that's abandoned who's owner has done the same. I couldn't get ahold of him and I'm very interested in this project. I wouldn't want to pay for a whole new fork and don't want to switch to a fixed fork.

I haven't watched the video, but it is for replacing the cartridge, so assumes there is already one fitted.
The Ebay link is to a Fox part which won't work. The part would need to be compatible with your specific fork, if it's even possible.

Without knowing what model it is, no one knows.

The video is replacing one cartridge with another, the upper forks section may not be the same on non lockout forks so a cartridge may not fit.

Be cheaper and easier to get some lockout forks.

If you want advise call Greyville as they atock and service Suntour forks - but probably not is the answer

Thanks for your response. I know that it's a replacement which is why it's a reference video for me and for you guys to understand my question. I know that Fox part won't work, which is why I asked if I could look for something "like" that, so I was expecting anybody who knows or has done a project like this would be able to point me towards the right part or parts.

This is for an MTB.

Cartridge cost is only $15. That would've been ideal.

Both will be fine as long as your bike is disc braked, they have no rim brake bosses.

What info I've found suggests the Riverside is V-braked (on the rim).
