Upgrade groupset or whole new bike

I am wanting to upgrade my 2011 Specialised Secteur.
I like the bike in general and think it is a good frame. I have changed the wheels to Campag Khamsins.
I want to upgrade and was thinking of getting a 105 groupset for £300 which I think would make a big difference or I could get a completely new bike - I was thinking of a Giant Defy 1 £900 and sell the secteur.
Would the difference in ride make upgrading to the defy worthwhile the extra expense over just upgrading the groupset?

The group set really won't change your riding experience that much unless your current group set not set up correctly.
I personally will sell what you have now and get myself a Giant Defy 1.0 -
If your groupset is working then you'll not see any measurable benefit from 105.
Id go for a new bike and let the old one become your winter bike.0
