Unknown metal pieces

Yesterday I got a new Trek Émonda SL 6 sent unassembled. No problem but when I finished assembling I found plastic bag containing two washers and two small metal pieces. Can someone out there tell what this is? See picture!

the two rings look like spacers/washers that could be to do with the headset
but you've posted a non-image url as an image
this might work
otherwise, just link to the page...

It's hard to tell from the scale, but maybe cassette spacers?
Edit: Got 28.6 stamped on them, so likely something to do with the seatpost?0 -
The small metal squares are the stick on pads that go behind a Di2 front derailleur to protect the frame from the yaw adjustment screw. You choose whichever one best fits the profile of the frame.0

...and yes, the washers are headset spacers. 1 1/8" so top bearing only if you have a tapered headset; they stop the headset dust cover binding on the frame if the bearing is too shallow.0
