Hi all,

I'm in the market for a new bike and wondered if people could help me out with some advice. I have been riding trails for a year or so pretty regularly on an old GT Aggressor. I recently took my girlfriend out and we rented some bikes up at Pedal Progression in Bristol and the difference riding one of their bikes as compared to mine was night and day. Was so much more fun bezzing it around on a better specced, well taken care of bike. I think they have Norco Chargers. So I decided it was time for an upgrade.

I've been looking at a few and wondered if you could give me some advice on them. Willing to spend approx £700 but can be swayed. I'm wondering also whether it was the particular model that I loved so much rather than just a better specced bike hence I've included the Norco too!

What sort of riding do you intend on doing?
  • Mainly singetrack, trails, a bit of downhilly stuff.

Out of all the listed id go for the parkwood. There is a nice parkwood in the "your mountain bikes' section of this forum if you check it out. Other options might be an on one 45650b, ragley marley, the usual halfords options include boardman, voodoo bizango, 13 incline, carrera fury, calibre two two.
