Hi all.
I am after a new frame, hopefully a bit quirky not mainstream if possible , don`t really want BB30 as I want to fit full Ultegra kit. Don`t mind Alu or carbon , size 53 - 54 top tube £500 region .
Anyone seen any bargains or suggest where I could keep a look out please.
Thanks.

It's just that there are potentially hundreds of frames out there that meet that criteria - pretty much every store in the UK will have something that matches that description...

If you want something racy the Kinesis Aithein/Racelight alloy framesets are superb for around the £500 mark.
For comfort I'd be going buy direct Chinese titanium.
  • Thanks , I quite like the Kinesis, I have a carbon KR810 already.
I was wondering if anyone had spotted a bargain as they and myself had trawled the net, sometimes others spot sites that are not the regular haunts .
Occasionally I spot a frame and its discontinued and I really want one but can`t` get my size.

quick question. whats your budget upper limit? I must admit I'm looking at the bowman palace but at £650 it might not be in your price range.

for £699 you can get a caad12 frame which is widely regarded as being a superb Alloy frame.
  • Thanks for the tip on the Bowman Palace, I have never heard of it before.

My initial go-to source when looking for framesets is Paul Milnes Ebay shop

    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Paul-Milnes-Cy ... 34.c0.m322

I've bought 3 framesets from them in the past and can't fault them for service. They are a bona fide bike shop based on Bradford. If you see a frameset that takes your fancy then if you call them and order over the phone they will usually knock a bit more off the Ebay price (saving Ebay fees) or throw in a headset or BB or both.

Currently they have this amongst other frames on offer

Carbon frame with BSA threaded BB as you have stipulated

and this also as a bit more left field option

BSA bottom bracket and mudguard eyelets to boot - what's not to like (apart from the colour maybe) 56 and 58cm available
  • Thanks. I can drive to Paul milnes also.
