pair of cosmic carbones used for summer rides suddenly went out of shape, took them to LBS to be trued, hand them back to me and for a tenner, fair do's, got home put them on bike and they were ..err slightly egg shaped, took em back and they tel me they're broken, crack inside the 'inner tube track' for want of a better descriptor very difficult to see but definitely there. £400 ish to replace a rear carbone, had a think, how long will the front last, is it worthwhile, short answer no, so to a different LBS and replace £800 wheels with a set of vision team 35's for the princely sum of £180, look good on the bike, seem quite stiff, no obvious flex when accelerating and to cap it all weigh less than the cosmic carbones, I'll think twice before spending a lot on wheels in future

Yeah, I bought some Racing Quattro after much soul searching. They seem, well, excellent!

The Quattro's at 1750 grams, very good value for money

I have to say that whilst my head would be happier if my Quattro weighed 1600g my body just can't feel the weight. They are a stop gap but, to be frank, etap is higher on the list than wheels are now.

etap will have lifelong memories, an extra 150g you'll hardly notice it!
