Hi guys,

Just after a bit of advise. I want to get out on a bike 1/2 times a week nothing strenuous, just along the canals and roads local to my house, just for abit of excersise and fresh air more than anything.

I don't want to spend more than £300 really, I've come across these 2 so far. Any advise on which would be better will be appreciated.

Thanks

Ben

There is not much in it spec wise - the Sulcata is a 29er though, and is pretty heavy.

If you can up your budget to £340 you are getting a much better bike:

Hydraulic forks and brakes will really make a difference.

    Thanks for the advice!

For a mere ride less than 5 miles would the hydraulic bits make that much difference!?

5 Miles every week is 20 a month. 20 a month is 240 a year... If you know what I'm going at. In the long run you will be much more happy with it.

A small bumpy bit of trail may only be a 100 yards long ;-). And as above, it all ads up to performance and comfort in the long run. It is a considerably better bike for even light off road.

    Thanks guys

I had a look around other bikes in the £350ish range and came across the Caibre 22 at go outdoors. £346 with discount card and a further 10% code. Looking at all the reviews I guess it blows all the above out the water?
